Thank you for your interest in the baccalaureate program of study in Social Work at the University of Oklahoma, Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work. We hope this is a first step for you toward an exciting and satisfying career as a social work professional. Our profession needs individuals such as you to serve those in need. Students currently attending or recently admitted to the University should take steps to declare themselves a “Pre-Social Work Major.” Contact the University of Oklahoma College of Arts and Sciences Advisement Office in Norman (405.325.4411) to make an appointment to do so. However, you can still submit your application to the School of Social Work without changing your major.
Students transferring from another college or university, or returning after a withdrawal from this University, must reapply for general admission. The School of Social Work will accept an application to its program, but cannot move it forward in the review process unless an applicant has gained general admission to the University. Additional documents needed for applicants in this status are:
